Brought back by a family member from WWII Pacific Theatre.

Don’t know much about it apart from it is a Katana (Large Sword) and the Blade has Japanese writing on it when the handle is removed.

I think the Scabbard has been painted (Black) and the Guard bit is a bit loose.

Looking for more information as to its history and make etc and it then may possibly be for sale.

I can furnish you with detailed photos of the writing and close-ups etc.
