Warning. Bladetrader.com.au never handles money or goods in transactions between buyers and sellers. If you are asked to do this, it is a fraud. Any email that asks a seller for a brokerage fee or an agent`s fee is usually a scam. Any email that claims they can supply your products from overseas is usually a scam. Any email that offers you above your asking price is usually a scam.

When selling or buying online beware of scams, remember the following rules:

* Be wary of buyers offering you above your asking price unless you know it is very collectable.
* Beware of sending money overseas or by Western Union. Paypal is a better option.
* Do not send money to an agent or a third party.
* You should always speak to the buyer or seller directly.

Yes. You cannot sell knives and blades to persons under the age of 16.  In addition, there are federal and state and territory laws that govern and regulate what knives and blades can or cannot legally be sold, bought or owned.  It is your responsibility to ensure that you understand these rules and regulations.

Here is a list of links that may contain useful information for buyers and sellers. Please note that this list is not exhaustive, and is based on information available as at 30 June 2021.

Appraisals can be very time consuming and we do not currently offer an appraisal service.  We also believe that appraisals over the phone or email are often inaccurate.  Even when a knife owner has good intentions, it is easy to misrepresent condition, value, and other facts about a knife.
