This is a nice J.Nowill & Sons Ltd Sheffield England SKEAN-DHU Knife in a Leather sheath with the sheath designed to go around the top of the Calf Muscle.

Pretty little knife.

It has a mirror finish blade which does have a few age marks and a little pitting on one side. Never sharpened and it would probably clean up well.

Writing  is very clear and stamped on blade is: J.Nowill & Sons Ltd (Crossed Keys) SKEAN-DHU  SHEFFIELD GT. BRITAIN

It has a nice solid Black Handle which is smooth on one side and has the traditional Scottish patterning on the other side of a weaved effect (not sure what material it is made from) and Sterling Silver fittings and at the end is a jewel which is an Amber (Yellow) colour. (Again, not sure what that is made from)

The knife is approx 18cm long with a 9cm Dagger Shaped Blade and a 9cm Handle.

Brown Leather sheath is hand made and in unused condition with nice buckle and retaining strap.
