Wow, now this is a collectable. 

Original PACIFIC CUTLERY CORP – BALI-SONG Samson Folder small and older model.

This is the brand before they changed the name to the famous ‘BENCHMADE’ brand.

A rarity in its original box and with its nylon pouch.

VINTAGE PACIFIC CUTLERY SAMSON JAPANESE MADE SMALL MICARTA HANDLED LOCK-BACK KNIFE.

Pacific Cutlery was the forerunner to todays Benchmade knives. Set up in the early 1980’s, by Les DeAsis, in-house designers included David E. Steel and Jody Samson among others. This is a high quality folder with a handle featuring sculpturedand polished black linen micarta scales, stainless bolsters and liners with a lined thong hole. Blade is a deeply hollow ground spearpoint. The Jody Samson Lion Logo is stamped on one side of blade with “PACIFIC CUTLERY, JAPAN” and their Butterfly logo on the other side. 

5cm Blade Length. Full Length approx 12cm and closed length is approx 7.5cm Thickness: 3/32”

Blade Material: polished stainless steel (we think 440) This is a small custom quality, folder with a solid lockup and smooth action. Condition is unused, unsharpened near mint. Factory edge is shaving sharp. Comes with the original generic black nylon belt pouch.

It also has its original box. (Box has a few age/storage marks.

A rare piece that would enhance any collection of quality knives and more importantly those wanting a historical BALI-SONG brand knife before the name change to BENCHMADE.
